University Infusion Services

The University of Tennessee Medical Center opened University Infusion Services on May 1, 2005, to provide IV therapy on an outpatient basis. The center is designed to provide a quick and comfortable setting for patients needing IV therapy. Some of the outpatient IV therapies provided at the center include the following.

• All blood products (whole blood, albumin, fresh frozen plasma, PRBC and platelets)
• IVIG
• Remicade
• Solumedrol
• Hydration
• ACTH stimulation tests
• All factor concentrates
• All IV antibiotics, including the first-time dose
• CVL maintenance
