Contact Hours

UT LIFESTAR is proud to offer quality Contact Hours for firefighters, paramedics and EMTs. Our Contact Hours are accepted by the State of Tennessee EMS Division. If you are an EMS provider in the Knoxville area and have training needs, UT LIFESTAR is your solution.

All of our courses are designed to efficiently deliver a topic-based lecture, administer an exam to evaluate comprehension and then provide a certificate to show completion of the course.

Class Locations

The classes are held at EMS/fire agencies in the East Tennessee region, typically at the main operations building or a community facility.

Instructors

The classes are taught by our staff, as well as specialty staff from the hospital. UT LIFESTAR personnel includes:

• Paramedics
• Registered Nurses
• Medical Director

The hospital also provides specialty staff, such as:

• Stroke Coordinators
• Attending trauma surgeons
• Trauma Outreach Coordinators
• Pediatric Trauma Outreach Coordinators
