Clinical Interests:
Her areas of clinical interest are preventative healthcare and women’s health. “I chose primary care as my specialty because I enjoy treating the patient as a whole person,” said Dr. George. “Primary care also allows me to care for my patients through the years.”
Personal Interests:
Although her studies took her other places, Dr. Courtney George returned to East Tennessee to practice medicine. She is a board certified physician with University Internal Medicine in Knoxville, Tenn., where she has been since 2007. Originally from Knoxville, Dr. George attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina for medical school, and she completed her residency at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Dr. George is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. George and her husband, Wade, have three children: Drew, Cooper and Reese. In her free time, Dr. George enjoys photography and gardening.
