Get a Free Prostate Cancer Screening in September
The medical center is offering two free prostate cancer screenings in September.
Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer in men. Over 2,750 new cases will be diagnosed this year in Tennessee alone. Prostate cancer that’s caught early — when it’s still confined to the prostate gland — has a better chance of successful treatment.
Who Should Get Screened?
We recommend all men get a screening if you are age 50+, or are age 45+ with a history of prostate cancer, or you are African American. All screenings include a Digital Rectal Exam and a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) blood test.
